Tequila and Mezcal Season 2011

By Covent Garden Magazine

For the past six years Cafe Pacificoand La Perla Bar & Grills have played host to the ever popular Tequila Season in Covent Garden and Fitzrovia. This year will be no exception.
In fact, this August the festival has been broadened to include mezcal, another distilled Mexican alcoholic beverage made from 27 types of the agave plant, unlike tequila that can only be made from the blue agave.
From 1 August, aficionados and amateurs alike will be invited to sample a range of tequila and mezcal brands and to enjoy the range of tastes and flavours these drinks have to offer. The aim of the festival is to promote premium tequila and mezcal brands at competitive prices and to bring these drinks to a new audience.
